CCTV Inspection & Profiling

Pipeline CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) inspection is a method used to inspect the interior of pipelines using a specialized camera system. Here’s a general overview of the process:

PREPARATION:

Before the inspection, the pipeline must be cleaned and cleared of any debris or obstructions. This may involve using a separate cleaning process, such as hydro jetting, to remove any build-up or blockages.

CAMERA INSERTION:

Once the pipeline is clean, a specialized camera system is inserted into the pipeline. The camera is connected to a video monitor and a control unit, which allows the operator to view and record the footage.

INSPECTION:

As the camera moves through the pipeline, it records high-quality video footage of the interior of the pipe. Mainline’s skilled operator can control the movement of the camera and adjust the focus to capture clear images of any areas of interest, such as cracks, corrosion, or other defects.

ANALYSIS:

After the inspection is complete, the video footage is analysed to identify any areas of concern. This may involve reviewing the footage frame-by-frame or using Mainline’s specialized software to analyse the images and detect defects.

REPORTING:

Once the analysis is complete, an expert report is generated detailing the findings of the inspection. This may include recommendations for repair or maintenance, as well as a summary of any defects found during the inspection. Pipeline CCTV inspection is an important tool for identifying and preventing issues with pipelines before they become major problems. It allows operators to quickly and accurately identify defects and develop an effective plan for repair or maintenance.
