Bulk Pipe Cleaning

Pipe cleaning and blockage removal for underground pipelines typically involves using specialized equipment and techniques to clear out debris, sediment, and other materials that can accumulate inside the pipes and cause blockages. Here’s a general overview of the process:

INSPECTION:

Before beginning any cleaning or blockage removal work, it’s important to first inspect the pipeline to identify the location and severity of the blockage, as well as any other issues that may need to be addressed.

JETTING:

One common method of pipe cleaning is using high pressure water jetting, which involves inserting a hose with a special nozzle into the pipeline and blasting water at high pressure to dislodge and flush out debris.

MECHANICAL CLEANING:

For more stubborn blockages or debris, mechanical cleaning methods may be necessary. This can involve using brushes, cutting heads, or other tools to physically scrape or break up the blockage and remove it from the pipe.

CHEMICAL CLEANING:

In some cases, chemical cleaning agents may be used to dissolve or break down certain types of blockages or deposits, such as grease or mineral build-up.

BLOCKAGE REMOVAL:

Once the blockage has been cleared, it’s important to remove any debris or material that was flushed out of the pipe to prevent it from causing additional blockages or damage downstream.

INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE:

After the cleaning and blockage removal work is complete, Mainline will conduct another inspection to ensure that the pipeline is clear and functioning properly. Regular maintenance and cleaning may also be necessary to prevent future blockages and extend the life of the pipeline.
